It is the First Snack developed in 1977 by Mrs. Bhagwati Amin, founder of Deep Foods, Inc., for the then nascent Indian Community.
It is the First High Quality Item produced by Deep Foods, Inc.
EXTRA HOT “HOT MIX®” was introduced in 1992.
“HOT MIX®” continues to be the consumer’s choice of quality Indian snack.
In the early 70's, Mrs. Bhagwati Amin's passion for good, authentic cuisine gave birth to a hobby. She had a passion for sharing the cuisine and culture from her homeland, and served delicious food to friends and neighbors at every possible opportunity.
Soon, small Indian storeowners sought her abilities. As a result, she worked nights and weekends to satisfy her desire to make and serve high-quality foods for her broader community. Many advised her to open a restaurant, but she knew that the time required to run a restaurant would detract from her family's needs.
In just a short time her products became largely popular. In 1977, Mrs. Amin and her husband together began work on what is today Deep Foods - “HOT MIX®” was proudly the first product that was packaged and put out to market. The name “HOT MIX®” was coined by Mrs. Amin’s brother-in-law, Pravin, that same year the company was founded. “HOT MIX®”, the exclusively registered trademark of Deep Foods, Inc. had become a household brand name for Indian families.
