Deep Foods, Inc. is a family-owned and operated manufacturer
of authentic all natural Indian cuisine since 1977

In the early '70s Mrs. Bhagwati Amin's passion for
good authentic cuisine gave birth to a hobby. She
loved to serve up delicious food and small Indian
store owners immediately sought her abilities. As
she worked in a clothing mill on weekdays, she would
work nights and weekends to satisfy her desire to
make and serve high quality foods while serving the
needs of the community. During this period she never
lost sight of family priorities and time dedicated
toward her two children.
In a short time her products became popular. Mrs.
Amin's husband, working as an accountant in AT&T
at the time, was always eagerly supporting her endeavors.
In 1977, he helped Mrs. Amin Incorporate her hobby.
As the business grew she never lost sight of producing
quality products. As operations were mechanized no
short cuts were taken to compromise the quality of
the products. Also she earned a great deal of respect
as she took great personal interest in the welfare
of all her employees.
In time Mrs. Amin was able to hire Mr. Amin as a
full time business administrator on the condition
that he would not compromise on product quality while
attempting to make the business run more efficiently.
Her youngest son joined the company in 1988 after
graduating with a degree in Food Science from Cornell
University. His first project was creating a company
that currently produces a line under the Curry Classics
brand. Her other son joined the company in 1992, helping
Deep Foods in areas of marketing. Also, Mrs. Amin's
Daughter-in-law, joined the company in 1996 after
graduating highest honors from the NY restaurant school.
The newly graduate's love for other ethnic foods,
with the help from her husband (food science background),
allowed for the latest project, GREEN GURU, which
expanded Deep Foods frozen foods from Indian to Thai
and Chinese as well. GREEN GURU is a unique line that
lends it self to an authentic, all natural, vegetarian,
international flare whose recipes call for a balance
between taste and nutritional wholesomeness. The project,
from inception, was always under the guidance and
constant supervision from veteran cook, Mrs. Amin.
From the humble beginnings of a home kitchen, to
the state of the art production facility, Mrs. Amin
has adhered to the original principles of quality
and authenticity following a traditional family code
of ethics. Today, Deep Foods, has approximately 90
employees and occupies a 120,000 square feet. facility,
in Union, NJ. The company follows her philosophy and
believes that there can be no compromise between people,
quality, and profit. Deep Foods, Inc. produces the
finest quality foods seeking to provide authentic
taste experiences for customers while providing a
sound environment and growth opportunities for its
employees.
